What you’re paying for

A $19 unlock buys you the contact information of the top 10 ranked lifeguards for one specific search. The fee covers our cost of ranking + delivering that information — not the cost of any eventual hire.

When we’ll refund

Email us at hello@lifeguardfinder.com and we’ll issue a full refund within 5 business days if:

  • The unlock failed to deliver the top-10 list due to a technical error on our end.
  • You were double-charged for the same search.
  • Every lifeguard in your unlocked list is invalid (e.g. all the phone numbers are disconnected, or every contacted guard turns out to be misrepresented). Send us the search ID and what you found.
  • Your account was compromised and the unlock was made without your authorization.

When we won’t refund

  • You changed your mind, decided not to hire anyone, or postponed the event.
  • Some lifeguards didn't respond to your call or text. Not every reachable guard will be available for your specific time — that's normal hiring friction, not a platform failure.
  • A lifeguard you hired didn't work out. We're a discovery tool; vetting and hiring decisions are yours. Use the rating system to leave honest feedback so future clients have better signal.
  • You ran multiple unlocks for the same job at the same address — each one is a separate paid product.

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. Funds typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.

Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision, reply to our email and we'll review it again. If we can't reach an agreement, you may dispute the charge with your card issuer — but please email us first; we'd rather resolve it directly.
